Initial ideas- Pitch

Idea 1) Music video- This music video will be centred around the idea of emotion and pain, similar to that of Hozier's 'Take me to church' it explores consequences of love. we get an insight into the life of a young girl who is in a relationship, but faces the consequences in a devastating manner. She soon learns she is pregnant but has no intention of keeping the baby, her mother is against the idea of abortion having being a catholic she believes it should not be condemned and is strongly against her views. The girl goes to any means necessary in order to abort the pregnancy herself. The song that will accompany this video is SYML's 'Where's my love'.

Idea 2) Trailer- This trailer will follow a non-linear, thriller structure in which a female is looking for her mums hairdryer in her parents bedroom, she searches everywhere including underneath the bed. She stumbles across a set of tattered newspapers and posters, they all follow the same story about a 'missing person' there are images to accompany these articles... she is the person in the picture. There will be flashbacks in order to explain the story behind the posters, hence it is non-linear

Idea 3) Short film- This short narrative will follow the life of an adolescent who has an imaginary friend, the story will follow her life as she grows, the more the child grows up the more she is realising she doesn't need the imaginary friend and he/she begins to fade out of her life.

Magazine advert; Spotify logo

I figured that the magazine advert looked a little bare in the bottom right hand corner, therefore I needed something to add in here, to liven the magazine up. It was suggested to me by one of my peers that I add the Spotify logo and put, 'now available on' just before the logo. However instead of having it in black and white like the other social media logos, I thought it would add more of a pop of colour to the advert if the logo was the signature green, yet only subtly as the logo is smaller in scale compared to that of the rest of the information presented. I took the image below from google, of the Spotify logo to use within the magazine advert. Then later added the 'also available on' using the same 'Arial' font from photoshop that was used for the information about the tracks. Therefore meaning I ended up with the magazine advert you can see below.

Genre specific- Submarine short film

Submarine is a 3 minute short film, produced and directed by Cameron Whiteford and a company called Acid Flicks. Its reason for being made was that it was to take part in the 2015 Røde film competition, this short film is essentially a coming of age story centred around a young girl who loves to swim, I thought this may be relevant to my chosen storyline as it is centred around a child along with being narrated by the character. The camera shots used within this short film have proved to be successful in help to aid the storyline and narration, a wide variety of shots have been included such as; mid shots, long shots, close ups and also a few dirty shots. Within this variety of shots, I feel the strongest are the long shots and close ups, due to the fact that the long shots give such a sense of location along with enabling the audience to connect to what the characters are seeing, giving a sense of being. Magazine advert planning; Image and background

As shown within my digipak planning, I took various images of the model, in different positions. This is the chosen image for my magazine advert. The reason for choosing this particular image is due to the fact that, it matches the simplicity of the digipak image, as well as using the same model, and silhouette idea (to reflect the album title). The fact that she is holding the flowers further promotes the naturalistic element that ties together the digipak and the magazine cover. This is the colour swatch that will be used as the only colour element within the magazine advert, used as the background for the top half of the advert. The fact that I have chosen to use this colour is due to the fact that it is subtle and not too overbearing, linked to the fact that this colour has been used consistently throughout the entirety of my digipak.
